It allows us to meet each other, of course, but it is also a good way for you two to have a chance in front of my camera before your big day! It will make wedding day that much more comfortable since we have shot together + you two are familiar with my shooting style! Complimentary Engagement Sessions are included in 10 + 8 hour wedding day packages!
Like I have said many times on the website-- a little bit of nostalgia, a whole lotta love. There is something that brings back different emotions when you get the email that your film has been developed + ready to be viewed. Add this on to your wedding//engagement//couple/family session
I am 100% confident in capturing your day to the fullest by myself, but there are some great benefits to having a second shooter. Having a second shooter is a great way to get a different perspective + see your day from a completely different angle.

II. CONNECT
I take a limited number of weddings each year. I am a big believer in connection and making sure that I am the best fit to serve you. If I am available for your date we'll give you a call to learn more!
III. reserve your date
Feeling like this is a great fit? Let's celebrate! Once the contract is signed and the retainer is paid, your date will be locked in and reserved on our calendar! Easy as that!
Iv. THE PLANNING PROCESS
I will work hand in hand with you and your vendor team to create a relaxed, stress-free wedding day experience with simple questionnaires and convos around what's most important to you!
V. THE WEDDING WEEKEND
I'LL be with you every step of the way documenting you as you are... not as an awkward observer, but someone supporting your experience and giving your the gift of ease and joy!
VI. DELIEVERY + HEIRLOOMS
I will deliver the fully edited (and gorgeous) online gallery for you to re-live all those incredible moments! The last and most exciting step is choosing and designing (together) your custom albums + prints to ensure your images are enjoyed for years to come!

FAQ
How many weddings do you take per year?
100! Just kidding. Just like you, I need rest + relaxation from time to time. I take 20-25 weddings per year to be sure my full heart can go into your day + you can truly feel my creative process!
How long have you been a photographer?
My whole life I have been ultra creative + when I got my first camera in 2019 it scratched a creative itch that I have yet to able to achieve anywhere else. I officially opened Megan King in 2022!
How many photos do you deliver?
Each one of my packages vary based on hours of coverage and number of photographers. But a good estimate is around 50-75 images per hour.
What is your turn around time?
It depends on when you are getting married!! If you are getting married during peak wedding season (May-October) expect a 8-10 week turnaround time. If you are getting married in the off-season (November-April_ expect a 6-8 week turnaround time.
How do your payment schedules work?
I require a 50% retainer to secure your spot on my calendar and the remainder 50% is due the month before the wedding!
Do you photoshop us?
I do not photoshop you! Since my focus is documenting true emotions, I spend less time photoshopping blemishes and wrinkles out of clothing. If there is something that you are particularly self-conscious of, please do not hesitate to mention and I will be conscious when working together.
Do you have insurance?
Yes I do. If you venue requests a certificate, please let me know so I can arrange that!
Do you have backup gear?
Why of course, quite a lot of it!
What if you cannot make our wedding?
I will weep as well. If there is an instance where this would happen, I will work hard to find a photographer to take my place with a similar style to myself. If there is an instance where I am unable to do so, your money will be refunded.
What if there is bad weather?
We will embrace it! Stromy skies + wet weather actually make for some beautiful images. If the weather is bad enough to ruin gear or your makeup, we will devise a plan to take photos indoors or if there is a option to re-schedule we will!
Do you help with the wedding planning process?
I leave it up to my couples as to how much of my input they would like. Of course I am always overjoyed when my couples ask me for recommendations. I do also send an 80+ wedding planning guide after booking that tends to help dive into wedding planning and answer a lot of the unknowns!
How does covering travel expenses work?
This is a case by case basis. I do not charge travel if your wedding is the western Missouri area. If you are getting married outside of that, I do require that the travel expenses are covered as well.
